Ethiopia - Biru Bekele comes from the Biru Bekele Wash Station. With farms located on the altitudes between 1,750 and 2,050 masl, this region is known for some of the best coffee in the world. Grown in Odo Shakiso Kebele of Guji Woreda by Mr. Biru Bekele, this coffee is traceable to producer level, which is an exception rather than rule for Ethiopian coffees. Being a natural process coffee, it has a tangy but balanced acidity, notes of red grapes and underlying floral tones.

More about Ethiopia - Biru Bekele

Guji is a beautifully forested and intact area located in the Oromia region of eastern Ethiopia. With its Rocky Mountains, microclimates and mineral-rich soil that includes gold, precious stones and a number of minerals, the region offers a balanced and pleasingly complex cup profile, which makes Guji, Ethiopia perfect for filter and espresso.

Ethiopia - Biru Bekele comes from the Biru Bekele Wash Station. With farms located on the altitudes between 1,750 and 2,050 masl, this region is known for some of the best coffee in the world.

Hailing from the Odo Shakiso Kebele of Guji Woreda and cultivated by Mr. Biru Bekele, this coffee offers a unique traceability down to the producer level, which is rare in Ethiopian coffee production. Mr. Biru Bekele, along with his dedicated team of 45 individuals, played a crucial role in harvesting and processing this exceptional coffee.

We are proud of featuring Mr. Bekele's coffee, presenting a rare opportunity to savor its subtle and delicate natural flavors, distinct from the more robust profile often associated with the natural process. With a well-balanced tangy acidity, this coffee showcases delightful notes of red grapes accompanied by gentle floral undertones.

Looking at the story behind this unique coffee, Biru Bekele started his coffee plantation business in 2005 and has been exporting for over 15 years. Having built a washing station in 2018, he decided to produce only natural processed coffee.

Bekele started using a special yeast fermentation. The result has become a well-balanced cup that brings up the nicest, fruited, washed Ethiopian coffees you can ever taste.

Enjoying your Ethiopia - Biru Bekele coffee, you feel the notes of tealike, sweet, fruity, strawberry and red berries.
