IN-HOUSE COFFEE COMPETITONS

We’re bringing the spirit of competition home to Boxx. Over the coming months, our LA shop will host a series of in-house events designed to celebrate skill, creativity, and community. These nights are for coffee professionals and enthusiasts who want to get closer to the craft — whether it’s the precision of pour-overs, the flair of latte art, or the complexity of signature drinks.

What’s on the schedule:

  • 09/10 - Coffee in Good Spirits (CIGS): A showcase of creativity where coffee meets cocktails, testing both technical skill and imagination.
  • 09/17 - Latte Art: Sharp pours, and a bit of friendly rivalry to see who can paint the most creative and precise patterns in the cup.
  • 09/24 - Brewer’s Cup: Celebration of manual brewing, spotlighting how technical creativity transforms flavor in the cup.
  • 10/01 - Barista Championship: A chance to put it all together: signature drinks, technical preparation, and service excellence.

Each event is meant to bring people together around the bar, spark conversation, and highlight the craft we love. Whether you’re stepping up to compete or coming to cheer, we’d love to have you with us.
